Unifor Local 2002 is inviting all interested political activists to join the Local Political Action Committee. This virtual meeting will be taking place on Thursday, March 20 at 1900 eastern time.
It is clear that the Canadian aviation industry is still facing challenges. Many of our members have been affected over the years by layoffs, and some airlines are still struggling amidst base closures, flight cancellations, and shifting customer choices amidst external pressures from the United States government. Cross-border travel is reaching COVID-19 lows as fewer Canadians are traveling south, partially due to an uncertain future, but mostly as an act of protest against ongoing U.S. tariffs.
Unifor Local 2002’s Political Action Committee would like your participation as we discuss political issues that impact all of us. We will also be discussing the [future] Federal Election, as well as how Local 2002 members can be part of the Elbows Up and Buy Canadian First movements.
